Generalitat Valenciana allocates 3.9 million euros for municipal innovation

The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, has allocated 3.9 million euros to promote research, development, and innovation (R&D+i) projects at the municipal level. This funding represents a 30% increase compared to the 2025 call.

The 'Innovative Territories' program will support 59 projects, a 23% increase from the previous year. The initiative aims to bring innovation closer to city councils and associations throughout the Valencian Community to improve public services regardless of municipality size.

Funding is divided into two lines: one for high-impact R&D+i initiatives and another for pilot projects promoted by local administrations. To ensure accessibility, aid intensity is scaled based on population, resulting in approximately 90% of selected projects coming from small and medium-sized municipalities.
