Generalitat Valenciana announces 24 million euro research talent plan
The Generalitat Valenciana has announced 69 grants under the Generation Talent and Transfer (GenT2) Plan to attract and stabilize scientific talent in the Valencian Community. The initiative, managed by the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Universidades, has an estimated total funding of 24,326,583 euros scheduled between 2027 and 2031.
The program features five distinct modalities designed for different research career stages:
• DEGENT: 20 grants for excellent doctoral researchers, offering up to 100,000 euros annually. • EIGENT: 9 grants for doctors with international experience, providing up to 30,000 euros in annual complementary funding. • JIGENT: 20 grants for junior researchers to help consolidate their own lines of work, with a maximum of 80,000 euros annually for up to four years.
The goal of the GenT2 Plan is to strengthen the regional R&D+i system and ensure research results are effectively transferred to universities, scientific centers, companies, and public administrations.
