Generation Z adopts wellness-focused daytime parties

A new social trend known as “wellness darties” is emerging among Generation Z, shifting the focus of social gatherings from late-night alcohol consumption to health and physical activity. These daytime events, a portmanteau of “daytime” and “party,” combine outdoor sports, group exercise sessions, and strength competitions with music and DJs.

Participants at these events often engage in activities such as ice baths and consume protein drinks or dietary supplements. While the trend is already established at various universities in the United States through specialized companies like Sweat&Soak, it is currently less common in Brazil.

In Curitiba, Brazil, the Clube dos Famintos is hosting its fifth edition of a similar concept titled “Comer, treinar e suar” (Eat, train, and sweat). The event integrates various fitness modalities, including hot yoga, spinning, Pilates, and intense gym training, paired with sensory experiences such as chocolate tasting, skincare masterclasses, and open wine sessions.
