Generation Z shows higher regret for Trump votes than other age groups

New data from public opinion research firm Navigator indicates that 31 percent of Generation Z voters express regret regarding their decision to vote for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. This figure is higher than the regret reported by Millennials (28 percent), Generation X (20 percent), and Baby Boomers (10 percent).

According to the surveys conducted between June 4 and July 27, Trump holds his lowest approval rating among Generation Z, with only 33 percent of that demographic expressing approval of his job performance. Additionally, Generation Z reported the highest level of pessimism regarding the country's direction, with a net score of -42.

The data also highlights economic and foreign policy sentiments. Among voters aged 18-44, 50 percent disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy but simultaneously report a lack of trust in Democrats on the matter. Furthermore, 52 percent of respondents expressed opposition to military action against Iran.
