Generation Z trends show high AI usage and MBTI adoption

Recent research highlights how Generation Z is integrating digital tools and personality frameworks into their daily lives and consumption habits in Japan.

A study by Daiko and Daiko WEDO reveals that 56.5% of Generation Z utilize AI during the purchasing process, significantly higher than the 39.0% average seen in the 30–60 age demographic. Beyond product selection, this cohort uses AI as a post-purchase support tool to resolve doubts, seek usage advice, or handle product malfunctions.

Simultaneously, a report from Z-SOZOKEN indicates that MBTI personality typing has become a common language for Generation Z. Approximately 97.6% of the demographic is aware of MBTI, and 82.2% report that it aids in their self-understanding. The framework is frequently used on social media to facilitate communication and influence interest in specific products and services.
