Generation Z’s interview habits and hybrid work preferences spark debate in Poland and Brazil

Digital influencer Sophie Rocha warned that using a smartphone for remote job interviews reflects a broader Generation Z attitude that may hurt employment prospects. Recruiters and career coaches cited the prevalence of mobile‑only interview setups as unprofessional, noting that 93 % of companies still hold remote interviews and that candidates’ reliance on phones can undermine first impressions.

A separate survey by Data Tax of 1,565 candidates, including 259 in São Paulo, found that 84.7 % of São Paulo professionals prefer a hybrid work model even when offered a 50 % salary boost for a fully onsite role. Nationwide, 58 % would accept higher pay to return to the office, while the remainder favor flexibility, citing traffic congestion and quality‑of‑life concerns.
