Generational shifts highlight evolving social and workplace norms
Generational shifts are reshaping social norms and workforce expectations. Older generations, specifically Baby Boomers, navigated a world without modern digital conveniences, relying on newspaper classifieds for housing, physical road atlases for navigation, and being tethered to home telephones to receive important calls.
In contrast, newer generations like Generation Z are entering the workforce with distinct priorities. Unlike their predecessors, Gen Z workers tend to reject the idea of jobs defining their entire lives, prioritize purpose over purely monetary compensation, and seek transparency regarding management decisions rather than following orders without context.
