Generosity targets Group 1 Moir Stakes win at Sandown

Sprinting mare Generosity is set to begin a new campaign this Saturday in the $750,000 Group 1 Moir Stakes at Sandown. The six-year-old, trained by Chris Waller, is seeking her first Group 1 victory in the 1000-metre sprint.

Earlier this year, trainer Chris Waller and owners B2B Thoroughbreds considered retiring the mare or sending her to Royal Ascot. However, following a sixth-place finish as a favorite in the Group 1 Sangster Stakes at Morphettville, the decision was made to keep her in the stable. Waller noted that she has since spelled and returned well through recent trials in Sydney.

Generosity, a daughter of Divine Prophet, previously earned over $800,000 during her early career in Western Australia. While the Moir Stakes marks her first run in Melbourne, she is experienced with anti-clockwise racing from her time in Perth. She is scheduled for a familiarisation gallop at Sandown alongside other contenders including Giga Kick and Natural Fling.
