Genesis Championship golf tournament set for Cheonan, South Korea

The 2026 Genesis Championship is scheduled to take place from October 22 to October 25 at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Korea. Jointly sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the KPGA Tour, the tournament features a total purse of $4,000,000.

The field includes 126 players, consisting of 90 DP World Tour professionals and 36 players from the KPGA Tour. Leading the field by world ranking is Si Woo Kim, followed by Ryan Fox and Sungjae Im. Defending champion Junghwan Lee is also set to compete.

For KPGA players, the event is a critical opportunity to secure points for the season-ending rankings. The winner will receive $680,000, a Genesis GV80 Hybrid vehicle, and two-year exemptions on both the KPGA and DP World Tours. Additionally, the top KPGA player may earn an invitation to the Genesis Scottish Open.
