Genesis Championship 2026 to be held in South Korea

The Genesis Championship 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 22 to October 25 at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Korea. Featuring a prize pool of $4,000,000, the tournament serves as a critical event on the DP World Tour, acting as the final major fixture before the season concludes with tournaments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The field includes 126 players, led by local favorite Si Woo Kim, currently ranked 14th in the world, alongside Ryan Fox, Casey Jarvis, and Sungjae Im. Defending champion Junghwan Lee will also compete. For many players, the event is vital for securing their standing in the Race to Dubai and determining their status for the 2027 season.

European players face significant stakes; for instance, Swiss golfer Joel Girrbach enters with strong recent form, while several Italian players are fighting to maintain or improve their rankings to secure full playing cards or qualification for the upcoming Abu Dhabi Adar Championship.
