Genesis debut album 'From Genesis To Revelation' released in deluxe reissue

The 1969 Genesis debut album *From Genesis To Revelation* has been reissued as part of a comprehensive new series. The flagship offering is a deluxe 5‑CD + Blu‑ray box set that also includes the original mono and stereo mixes, related singles, rare recordings and a collection of previously unreleased demos from 1967‑68, four of which have been newly mixed. A new stereo mix by Stephen W. Tayler emphasizes the band’s performances while softening the original orchestral elements.

The reissue also appears as a double‑vinyl edition with a bonus 12‑inch EP featuring fresh mixes of “A Winter’s Tale”, “One‑Eyed Hound”, “Image Blown Out” and the unreleased track “Visions Of Angels”. A 2‑CD remix/remaster version and a double‑vinyl set are available. The Blu‑ray delivers 96 kHz/24‑bit Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround and stereo mixes. Exclusive video footage shows Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford reunited at AIR Studios in London to discuss the album and the new mixes, accompanied by a 68‑page booklet containing essays by the band members and Anthony Phillips. The box set is issued by Cherry Red and goes on sale overseas on 9 October.
