Genesis Foundation and Yi Chang Industrial launch charity play to fund Chiayi nursing home

The Genesis Foundation and Yi Chang Industrial Co., Ltd. have partnered to host a charity children's play titled ‘Building a Home with Childlike Hearts’ to raise funds for a new nursing home in Chiayi and ongoing services for patients in vegetative states.

According to the Genesis Foundation's Changhua branch, there are approximately 2,388 patients in vegetative states or elderly individuals with severe dementia in the Chiayi area, yet local nursing homes provide only 22 beds, leading to chronic overcrowding. The construction of a new facility in Chiayi is considered urgent.

The charity play, an adaptation of the Grimm fairy tale ‘The Bremen Town Musicians’, is scheduled to perform at the Yuanlin Performing Arts Hall on August 30. The initiative aims to combine life education and arts with public welfare, encouraging corporate social responsibility and community support for vulnerable families.
