Genesis Foundation holds charity carnival to fund Hualien nursing home

The Genesis Social Welfare Foundation Hualien Branch is organizing a charity carnival titled ‘Walking with Children, Building with Love’ on November 7 at Rixing Avenue in Hualien City. The event aims to raise funds for the construction of a new nursing home dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in a vegetative state and elderly patients with severe dementia.

According to You Jia-ci, director of the Hualien branch, the planned six-story facility (with two basement levels) has reached the fourth floor of construction. However, the project requires over 500 million TWD, while current fundraising has only reached approximately 100 million TWD.

The carnival is co-organized with the Hualien County Cultural Affairs Bureau and supported by various local organizations. Attendees purchasing tickets will have the chance to participate in a lucky draw, including prizes such as round-trip tickets to Taiwan's outlying islands.
