Genesis sponsors Do Ho Suh solo exhibition at MMCA Seoul

Genesis has announced its sponsorship of a large-scale solo exhibition by world-renowned contemporary artist Do Ho Suh. The exhibition will be held at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), Seoul, from August 27 to February 9.

The showcase will feature approximately 500 works, ranging from previously unreleased early pieces to ongoing projects. The collection includes drawings, sculptures, videos, and installations that explore themes of home, movement, memory, identity, and the relationship between architecture and the body.

Notable works to be displayed include the ‘Rubbing/Loving’ series, the ‘Bridge Project’, and large-scale translucent fabric structures that recreate residential spaces from cities such as London, New York, Berlin, and Seoul. Some pieces, previously supported by Genesis for an exhibition at Tate Modern in London, will make their domestic debut. Additionally, a large installation titled ‘Apartment A’ is scheduled to be displayed in the Seoul Box space starting December 18.
