Schools in Germany and Switzerland begin new academic year

Various educational institutions in Germany and Switzerland are marking the start of the new school year. In Hanau, 272 new fifth-grade students began their transition to the Otto-Hahn-Schule, with ceremonies led by Principal Susan Stein. Similarly, GHS Borken welcomed its new fifth-grade classes with a celebration featuring school leaders and student performances.

At the Goethegymnasium in Leipzig, students are returning to classes with specific schedules provided for different grade levels. To manage the transition, the school has directed students to use the LernSax system for substitution plans.

In response to the increased traffic associated with the return to school, police authorities in Geneva and Goslar have issued safety warnings. Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant near schools and bus stops, while advising parents to practice safe routes with their children to mitigate risks during the first weeks of the term.
