Gen. G wins 2026 LCK regular season for third consecutive year

Gen. G has secured first place in the 2026 LCK regular season, marking their third consecutive year at the top of the League of Legends Champions Korea competition. The team finished with a 19-7 record, narrowly edging out Hanwha Life Esports, who also finished with 19-7. Gen. G claimed the top seed due to a superior 3-1 head-to-head record against Hanwha Life Esports.

The conclusion of the regular season highlights a more competitive landscape than previous years. While Gen. G maintained dominance, they faced increased pressure from rivals, including a 1-2 loss to Dplus KIA in their final match. Hanwha Life Esports finished second after a strong final week, including victories over Dplus KIA and T1.

In the playoff standings, T1 and Dplus KIA secured third and fourth places respectively, granting them entry into the first round of the playoffs. KT Rolster, finishing fifth in the Legend Group, must compete in the Play-In stage alongside top teams from the Rise Group, including Hanjin BRION, BNK FearX, and Nongshim RedForce. The Play-In stage is scheduled to run from August 26 to 28.
