Genie Francis to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 2026 Daytime Emmys

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are scheduled to take place on October 30, 2026. The ceremony will feature a Lifetime Achievement Award for actress Genie Francis, recognized for her extensive career and her long-standing role as Laura Spencer on the soap opera ‘General Hospital’.

NATAS President Adam Sharp confirmed the honor, stating that Francis has left an indelible mark on the daytime television landscape. Francis expressed her gratitude for the support received throughout her five decades in the industry.

While the awards show is no longer televised, viewers can watch the event live via the official Emmy app or the NATAS website. Nominees for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series include ‘General Hospital’, ‘The Young and the Restless’, ‘Days of Our Lives’, and ‘Beyond The Gates’.
