Genius Girlfriend Chinese drama launches on iQIYI on Aug 2, 2026

The youth romance series *Genius Girlfriend* will debut on the Chinese streaming platform iQIYI on 2 August 2026. The 28‑episode drama, adapted from Su Guangtong’s novel and directed by Tian Yusheng, follows gifted student Lin Zhixia (played by Tian Xiwei) and top‑class peer Jiang Yubai (Hu Yitian) as their friendship evolves into romance amid academic and family challenges.

Episodes will be released daily at noon Beijing time, with the full run concluding on 29 August 2026. iQIYI International will provide English subtitles for overseas viewers. The production is backed by Straw Bear Entertainment and has already attracted over one million reservations on the platform.
