Genius Group targets $1.6 billion Bitcoin and AI treasury

Genius Group, an NYSE-listed AI-powered education company, has announced a strategic plan to rebuild its digital assets. The company aims to establish parallel Bitcoin and AI treasuries with a combined value of $1.6 billion, targeting total company assets of $2 billion by fiscal year 2031.

This initiative follows the company's decision in April to sell its entire Bitcoin reserve to repay $8.5 million in debt. To fund this new strategy, Genius Group intends to issue Perpetual Preferred Securities using its $1.2 billion SEC-cleared shelf registration. The company is targeting an initial raise of $12.5 million, which will be allocated toward the Bitcoin treasury, the AI treasury, and a cash reserve to cover approximately 18 months of dividend payments.

CEO Roger James Hamilton stated that capital deployed into these treasuries that generates returns above the preferred dividend rate will flow directly to ordinary shareholders’ net asset value. The move mirrors strategies used by major corporate Bitcoin holders.
