Genius Sports stock jumps 14% after analyst upgrade

Genius Sports Limited (NYSE:GENI) saw its share price rise 14% on Tuesday, climbing to as high as $7.86 and closing at $8.059 after Wall Street Zen upgraded the stock from a strong‑sell to a sell rating. Trading volume increased 24% to about 7.8 million shares.

Other analysts also adjusted their views: Truist Financial lowered its target price to $10, Roth Capital set a $10 target, Goldman Sachs initiated coverage with a buy rating and a $9.50 price objective, Oppenheimer raised its target to $10, and Citigroup cut its target to $8. The consensus rating is a moderate buy with an average target of $11.14. Hedge funds shifted positions as well, with Royal Bank of Canada increasing its stake by 17.6% to 44,339 shares worth $444 k, Cetera Investment Advisers adding 10%, Prudential Financial buying a new $266 k position, and Invesco also increasing its holdings.
