Genki launches Manta gaming controller with integrated LCD screen

Genki has launched the Manta, a high-end gaming controller, via a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The device features a built-in 2.79-inch to 2.9-inch color LCD screen located between the analog sticks, which serves as an interface for the proprietary MantaOS. This allows users to adjust settings directly on the hardware without needing external PC software.

Key technical specifications include a dedicated Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller to manage customization. The controller utilizes Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) joystick technology designed to prevent stick drift and allows for adjustable physical resistance. It also features unique three-stage triggers with modes for digital clicks, analog movement, and rapid repeated presses.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, a 2.4GHz dongle, and USB-C for low-latency wired use, reaching an 8000Hz polling rate. Additional features include programmable macro buttons, adjustable haptic feedback, a user-replaceable 2,600 mAh battery, and a dedicated mode to allow the gamepad to function as a mouse and keyboard for desktop navigation. Delivery is expected around February 2027.
