Gençlerbirliği completes medicals for Niasse and Gouveia

Gençlerbirliği is finalizing new player acquisitions following their recent victory against Fenerbahçe. Technical Director Metin Diyadin confirmed that Cheikh Niasse and Tiago Gouveia have undergone medical examinations in Ankara.

Cheikh Niasse, a 26-year-old Senegalese defensive midfielder joining from Italy's Hellas Verona, is expected to sign a formal contract following his medical. The club has reportedly decided against the transfer of Kwasi Sibo to facilitate the Niasse deal. Diyadin also noted that the club is working to add a forward to the squad in the coming days, noting that their foreign player quota is nearly reached.
