Gennaro Gattuso claims Nuno Tavares has Real Madrid quality

Lazio manager Gennaro Gattuso has praised the talent of Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares, suggesting the player possesses the qualities necessary to play for Real Madrid. Gattuso noted that Tavares has the pace and ability to use both feet, stating, “He knows he has talent and could've had 10 or 12 years at Real Madrid with his qualities.”

Tavares, who joined Lazio in June 2025, previously played for Benfica and Arsenal, with loan spells at Marseille and Nottingham Forest. While Gattuso highlighted the player's high ceiling, he also noted the importance of helping the defender understand his own potential and managing his recovery time after matches.
