Genoa Airport to launch direct flights to Frankfurt in 2027
Discover Airlines, a leisure carrier within the Lufthansa Group, will launch a new direct flight service between Genoa and Frankfurt starting March 28, 2027. The route is scheduled to operate twice weekly on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the 2027 summer season using Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats.
Developed in collaboration with Genoa Airport and Costa Crociere, the service aims to boost international tourism in Liguria and improve connectivity to major European hubs. To support the cruise market, Costa Crociere is offering Fly & Cruise packages that link the flights to departures from the ports of Savona and Genoa on the Costa Toscana and Costa Fascinosa ships.
Matteo Paroli, President of Genoa Airport, noted that the connection serves as a vital gateway to the international market and provides significant opportunities for both incoming and outgoing traffic.
