Genoa and Parma outline new approaches for Primavera youth players

Genoa head coach Daniele De Rossi said that the club will move several Primavera players into the first‑team squad for the upcoming match and prefers sending youngsters to Serie C or Serie D rather than keeping them in a reserve team. He criticised the "second‑team" model and argued that real match experience is essential for development.

Parma defender Mena Martínez, a 2006‑born member of the club’s Primavera side, praised the team’s unbeaten season, described his deep attachment to Parma, and reiterated the goal of winning titles. He emphasized staying present, continuing personal growth and the importance of confidence gained from a first‑team call‑up.

Both clubs are promoting competitive playing time for their youth prospects as a core strategy for the 2023‑24 season.
