Genoa CFC targets new technical leadership

Genoa CFC is reportedly restructuring its technical management as current sporting director Diego Lopez prepares to depart for Burnley. The club is seeking experienced figures to oversee transfer market operations and technical strategy.

Reports indicate that Stefano Melissano, the former sporting director of Spezia, and François Modesto, formerly of Juventus, are the leading candidates for the new organizational structure. The proposed arrangement would see Modesto take on the role of Chief of Football Operations, while Melissano would serve as the sporting director.

While other names such as Pantaleo Corvino, Pradè, and Burdisso had previously been linked to the position, current indications suggest the club is focusing on the Modesto-Melissano pairing to lead its technical area.
