Genoa defeats Lecce 2-1 in Serie A

Genoa secured their third consecutive Serie A victory with a 2-1 away win against Lecce at the Via del Mare. The match was decided in the first half when Osmajic scored in the 11th minute following an assist from Messias, and Messias doubled the lead in the 28th minute.

Lecce attempted a comeback in the 40th minute when a free kick by Maleh deflected off Osmajic to narrow the gap. A potential equalizer by Stulic in stoppage time was disallowed by VAR due to a handball. Despite late pressure from Lecce and a close call from El Shaarawy that hit the post, Genoa held on to the win.

Genoa manager Daniele De Rossi praised the personality of his young players, noting the importance of the result for the team's momentum. Lecce manager Eusebio Di Francesco expressed frustration over his team's lack of clinical finishing and poor decision-making after taking the lead.
