The “Aorta in salute” initiative, promoted by Azienda Ospedaliera Metropolitana Liguria and Regione Liguria, is offering free, no-appointment vascular examinations and color Doppler ultrasounds at hospitals in Genoa.
The program targets individuals over 65 who have risk factors such as smoking, hypertension, or a family history of aortic pathologies. The screenings will take place over three consecutive weekends:
• September 26–27: Policlinico San Martino (12th floor, Monoblocco Pavilion, Levante side). • October 3–4: Ospedale Villa Scassi (Ground floor, Pavilion 5). • October 10–11: Ospedali Galliera (Ground floor, Pavilion A1).
Access is available from 9:00 to 17:00 without the need for a medical referral or payment of a ticket.
