Genoa humiliated 10‑1 by Bournemouth in pre‑season friendly

On Tuesday, 4 August, Serie A side Genoa travelled to Bournemouth’s training base in England for a pre‑season friendly played over four 30‑minute periods. The Premier League hosts dominated from the start, opening the scoring twice within minutes and eventually running up an unprecedented 10‑1 victory. Genoa’s sole goal came from midfielder Mikael Ellertsson, while Bournemouth’s tally featured a double from Justin Kluivert and two goals by Enes Ünal among others.
