Genoa implements new traffic regulations and speed cameras

The city of Genoa is introducing significant changes to its road network and traffic enforcement. An ordinance has been approved to restore the traffic flow in the Valpolcevera area to its pre-Morandi bridge collapse configuration. This includes reinstating one-way traffic on via Giorgio Perlasca (heading toward the mountains) and via 30 Giugno 1960 (heading toward the sea). These changes will take effect following the installation of new signage and necessary nighttime works.

Additionally, four new speed cameras are scheduled to become operational on November 1, 2026. The devices will be installed along Lungomare Canepa, via Guido Rossa, and via Prà. Authorized by the Prefecture and registered with the Ministry of Transport, these measures aim to reduce speeding and prevent accidents in high-traffic areas and near pedestrian crossings.
