Genoa opens applications for polling station scrutineers
The Municipality of Genoa has opened applications for its registry of polling station scrutineers. From September 1 to November 30, citizens can express their availability to serve during future elections.
To qualify, applicants must be registered voters in Genoa, under the age of 75, and have completed their mandatory schooling. The registration process is intended for those not already included in the current registry.
Applications can be submitted online through the municipal service, via email, or through certified email (PEC). Alternatively, citizens may apply in person at the central electoral office on Corso Torino or at decentralized registry offices.
Emilio Robotti, the Councilor for Civic Services, emphasized that the role is a vital civic responsibility involving document verification and ballot counting to ensure transparency in the democratic process. He specifically encouraged young people to participate as a formative civic experience.
