Genoa police reorganize stations to boost security in historic center

The Police Commissioner of Genoa has ordered a reorganization of the Prè and Centro police stations to strengthen controls within the city's historic center. The measure aims to enhance territorial monitoring and improve responses to community needs, particularly in the narrow alleys and nightlife areas.

Giuseppe Simone Borgese, a Chief Commissioner, has been appointed to lead the Prè station. Borgese has served in the province since 2024 and previously held a role in the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office. Agostino Ciardiello has been assigned as an official to the Centro station to bolster operational coordination and presence in the area.
