Genoa publishes inaugural Sustainability Report

The City of Genoa has published its first Sustainability Report for the year 2025. This new analytical tool complements traditional economic and asset data by providing a broader assessment of how municipal administration activities affect the city across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

Presented by Deputy Mayor and Economic Development Councilor Alessandro Terrile, the report aims to use objective data to monitor public policy results and guide future decision-making. The initiative is part of a broader effort to relaunch the city's Statistics Office and utilize a dynamic control platform that integrates data from various municipal departments.

The report includes indicators on several urban aspects, such as land consumption and environmental impact. It also provides a detailed profile of the city's social structure, noting a resident population of 566,790 as of 2025, which shows a slight stabilization and increase compared to previous years.
