Genoa to host 38th Millevele IREN sailing competition

The 38th edition of the Millevele IREN sailing competition is set to take place in Genoa on September 12. Organized by the Yacht Club Italiano with IREN as the title sponsor, the event maintains a connection with the International Boat Show.

The official launch occurred on September 3 at the Yacht Club Italiano, featuring a ceremony where pennants were delivered to Ligurian sailing clubs competing for the Trofeo Intercircoli – Coppa Bartolomeo Boero. The event was attended by various regional and local officials, including the President of the Liguria Region, the Mayor of Genoa, and representatives from the Western Ligurian Sea Port System Authority and Confindustria Nautica.

In addition to the sporting competition, the event includes charitable initiatives. For the 2026 edition, the Yacht Club Italiano is supporting the Istituto Giannina Gaslini through the Fondazione Gaslininsieme ETS to contribute to the Nuovo Gaslini project.
