Genoa Women hold pre‑season camp in Sondalo, Alta Valtellina

The newly promoted Serie A women’s side Genoa Women staged a pre‑season training camp in Sondalo, Alta Valtellina from 2 to 12 August. Coached by Ilaria Leoni, the squad carried out daily training sessions, athletic work and tactical drills to prepare for the upcoming league campaign.

The camp featured an open friendly against Como Women on 7 August at the Sondalo stadium, allowing local fans to watch the match. A second friendly was scheduled for 13 August at the Erba sports centre, played behind closed doors. Organisers highlighted the high‑altitude facilities and the region’s ability to host professional teams during the summer.

The event also aimed to promote women's football in the area and to showcase the Valtellina region as a suitable venue for elite sports preparation.
