Genova expands parking restrictions around Luigi Ferraris Stadium

The City of Genova has updated the parking regulations for the ‘Zsl Stadio’ limited parking zone surrounding the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. The new measures extend the perimeter into the Bassa Val Bisagno and Media Val Bisagno municipalities to create uniform traffic rules during sporting and entertainment events.

Under the new rules, parking and stopping are prohibited from two hours before an event begins until one hour after its conclusion. Residents with valid permits, emergency services, law enforcement, fire departments, vehicles for people with disabilities, and local commercial operators are exempt from these restrictions.

Mobility Councilor Emilio Robotti stated that the regulation follows an in-depth study intended to mitigate the impact of large events on residents and businesses. The city is encouraging event attendees to use public transport, which will be reinforced, or two-wheeled and sharing vehicles.
