Genova hosts fifth Dream Run to support Malawi aid projects

The fifth edition of the Dream Run took place in Genoa, involving approximately one thousand participants in competitive 10-kilometer races and 5-kilometer walks. The event was organized to support the DREAM project led by the Community of Sant’Egidio in Malawi.

Proceeds from the event are designated to combat AIDS, address malnutrition, and fund child nutrition programs in Malawi. Additionally, funds will support the opening of a new school to improve educational access in the region, where approximately one in three children fails to complete primary education.

Due to the event, local authorities implemented traffic restrictions and parking bans in several areas of Genoa, including Corso Italia and Corso Marconi, to accommodate the runners.
