GenScript Biotech reports 27.3% revenue growth driven by AI drug discovery

GenScript Biotech Corporation reported a 27.3% year-over-year increase in first-half 2026 revenue, reaching approximately US$404.2 million. The company’s adjusted net profit saw a significant surge of 203.3%, totaling roughly US$62.5 million.

A primary driver of this growth is the AI-enabled drug discovery business, which doubled in size over the past year. Additionally, the Gene-to-Protein platform remains a central component of the company’s operations, accounting for about 66% of the GenScript Life Science Group revenue.

Despite a reported accounting loss of US$129 million—largely attributed to non-cash accounting treatments following the deconsolidation of Legend Biotech—the company’s core operations showed strength. GenScript continues to invest heavily in human capital, with employee compensation expenses reaching approximately US$166.5 million, representing 41.2% of total revenue.
