Genshin Impact to release Vodyanitsa and Vesna in version 7.1 update

Genshin Impact is set to release two new 5-star characters, Vodyanitsa and Vesna, in the version 7.1 update scheduled for September 23, 2026. Both characters will debut simultaneously on their respective banners.

Vodyanitsa is a Hydro support character who specializes in healing and elemental resistance shred. To optimize her performance, players are advised to focus on HP% stats, aiming for 60,000 HP to unlock her full passive. Her signature weapon is Hymn of the Maelstrom.

Vesna is an Anemo main DPS character who utilizes a sword and focuses on Stellar Swirl damage. Her build should prioritize ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG. Her signature weapon is Beyond the Chrysalis, though players can use alternatives like Whitelake Frostfeather or the craftable Emberwall.

Both characters are designed to work effectively in specialized team compositions, often featuring characters like Odette, Faruzan, or Escoffier to maximize Stellar Swirl and Stellar Glimmer reactions.
