Gentza Zubiri appointed coach of Bermeo-Urdaibai

Gentza Zubiri has been appointed as the new coach for the Bermeo-Urdaibai trainera for the upcoming season. This follows an agreement with the board of Bermeo Arraun Elkartea. Zubiri succeeds Jon Salsamendi, who led the 'Bou Bizkaia' for the last two campaigns.

Zubiri transitions directly from the rowing bench to the coaching staff, having just completed his tenth season rowing on the starboard side for Bermeo-Urdaibai. His extensive experience includes rowing for Arkote de Plentzia and Kaiku, and he holds five Bandera de La Concha titles and eight Eusko Label Liga victories.

As a long-time member of the club, Zubiri possesses intimate knowledge of the current squad. His primary objective for the next season is to maintain the rowing block that recently secured third place in the Eusko Label Liga and won several flags, including the Bandera de Bilbao and the Bandera CaixaBank.
