GEO Group subsidiary donates $1.4M to Trump-aligned PAC following ICE contracts

A subsidiary of the GEO Group, GEO Reentry Services, donated more than $1.4 million in July to MAGA Inc., a super PAC supporting Donald Trump. These donations occurred closely following the announcement of two new Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention contracts.

One contract involves the 1,188-bed Big Horn Facility in Colorado, expected to generate approximately $85 million annually over five years. A second contract for the 1,320-bed Rivers Facility in North Carolina is estimated to be worth nearly $457.1 million over five years. The White House has denied any link between the political contributions and the awarding of government contracts, stating that allegations of such influence are false.

The Department of Homeland Security maintained that the contracts were part of a competitive process. Beyond detention, other GEO subsidiaries, such as BI Incorporated, manage ICE’s Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) and hold skip-tracing contracts to assist in locating individuals. Since the beginning of the year, GEO Reentry Services has donated more than $4.4 million to MAGA Inc.
