Geoffrey Lembet Rejoins AS Nancy Lorraine as Goalkeeper

Central African goalkeeper Geoffrey Lembet has returned to Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine after an eight‑month loan that covered for the injured Martin Sourzac. He resumes his role as backup to first‑choice keeper Enzo Basilio, re‑forming the partnership that proved effective last season.

Club boss Oswald Tanchot praised the move, saying the squad needed an extra leader to balance the age profile in the dressing room. Lembet had previously been praised for his performances in the Coupe de France, notably in a penalty‑shootout win against Grenoble, before leaving Rennes earlier this year.

The goalkeeper’s return is seen as a boost to the team’s depth and leadership ahead of the remainder of the Ligue 2 campaign.
