GeoGuessr launches limited-time HorrorGuessr survival mode

GeoGuessr has released a limited-time game mode titled ‘HorrorGuessr’, transforming the popular geography deduction game into a roguelite survival horror experience. Available on browsers and Steam until November 16, the mode introduces a time-sensitive element where players must identify locations using Google Street View while being hunted by the ‘Black Pano Monster’.

Players must navigate through various environments to avoid the monster, which moves faster as the days progress. To survive the 30-day challenge, players can use spells, items, and gold earned during gameplay to gain advantages or heal. The mode features three difficulty levels—Normal, Hard, and Nightmare—and includes boss battles every five days that require players to use accurate geographical guesses to deal damage.

In addition to survival mechanics, the mode incorporates strategic elements such as managing equipment and using items like pumpkin buns for healing. The experience is designed to test both geographical knowledge and survival skills.
