Geomdan-gu Council Chairman inspects local public daycare center

Kim Nam-won, Chairman of the Geomdan-gu Council in Incheon, visited the Geomdan Public Daycare Center on October 1 to inspect childcare facilities and operational conditions.

During the visit, Chairman Kim reviewed the center's programs and safety environments. He met with the director to discuss staffing, student numbers, and the challenges faced by childcare workers. The center currently serves 88 children across 16 classes with a staff of 24. Notably, the facility provides extended night care from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM to support working parents and has operated as an ‘Open Daycare Center’ since 2020.

Kim emphasized the importance of providing a safe environment that supports child development and pledged to continue listening to the voices of educators to improve childcare quality and support for both parents and children.
