Geometric Power commends Abia State government for public-private partnerships

Geometric Power, an integrated power organization in Nigeria, has commended the Abia State government for its commitment to public-private partnerships. The company leadership expressed appreciation to Governor Alex Otti for his direct intervention in negotiations with gas producers and suppliers.

These interventions aimed to ensure a constant gas supply to the Aba Ring-fenced Area, which includes nine of the 17 local government areas in Abia State, following outages that had caused blackouts. The goal of these efforts is to maintain competitiveness for industries, hospitals, educational institutions, and small businesses within the region.

Geometric Power currently receives gas from Heirs Energies, which operates the oil licence previously held by Shell Petroleum Development Company. The company noted that aging gas infrastructure presents ongoing operational challenges.
