Georg Steinhauser signs with Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe
German climber Georg Steinhauser has signed with Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe for the 2027 season. The 24-year-old moves from EF Education-EasyPost to join the German-based team, where he will reunite with former teammate Florian Lipowitz.
Steinhauser, who turned professional in 2022, gained significant recognition following a solo stage victory during the 2024 Giro d'Italia and a third-place overall finish at Paris-Nice in 2026. Zak Dempster, the team's sports director, noted that Steinhauser combines climbing ability with race intelligence and an offensive mentality, stating the team believes the rider has not yet reached his full potential.
Steinhauser expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team, citing his long-standing admiration for the organization and its professional approach. He intends to contribute to the team through both aggressive racing and a supportive role within the squad.
