George Clooney to open Italian restaurant in France

Actor George Clooney is reportedly planning to open an Italian restaurant in the Provençal village of Cotignac, France. The project is expected to open in the spring of 2027.

Clooney is working on the venture alongside Canadian entrepreneur Graham Porter, the owner of the nearby Lou Calen hotel. The restaurant will occupy the former Les 3 Marches premises, which is currently undergoing renovation. While the Cotignac mayor, Jean-Pierre Véran, has confirmed Clooney’s involvement, reports indicate that formal plans have not yet been submitted to the municipality.

The move follows Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, relocating their family to the south of France. The couple, who live on the Domaine du Canadel estate near Brignoles, obtained French citizenship in 2025.
