George Clooney to receive Golden Lion at Venice Film Festival

George Clooney is set to attend the Venice Film Festival for an extended stay, expected to last approximately one week from late August to early September. During the 83rd edition of the festival, Clooney will be honored with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during the opening ceremony on Wednesday, September 2, at the Palazzo del Cinema.

In addition to receiving the lifetime achievement award, the actor, director, and producer is scheduled to host a masterclass at the Match Point Arena on Thursday, September 3. The session, led by film critic Giulia D’Agnolo Vallan, will be available to festival attendees and via livestream on the Biennale website. Clooney is expected to stay at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani on Giudecca island.
