George Elliott begins 100,000 stair climb after heart failure diagnosis

George Elliott, a Princeton City Councillor serving since 2018, has launched a fitness challenge to climb 100,000 stairs as part of a journey toward a healthier lifestyle.

In 2020, Elliott was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and Atrial Fibrillation after being hospitalized for a blood clot. At the time of his diagnosis, he was informed his heart function was at only 10 percent, a condition doctors described as a severe prognosis. The diagnosis was discovered during an emergency procedure in Kelowna after a series of health complications began in 2019.
