George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra to perform at Ravello Festival
The George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to perform at the Ravello Festival in Italy on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The concert will take place at the Belvedere Terrace of Villa Rufolo.
This performance marks the official start of the artistic partnership between the Romanian orchestra and its new principal conductor, Robert Treviño, who begins his tenure this season. The program includes George Enescu’s ‘Romanian Rhapsody No. 1, Op. 11’ and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s ‘Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27’.
The orchestra aims to use this new leadership to refine its identity, expand its repertoire, and strengthen its international presence through global tours and recordings.
